Composition
I compose and produce a variety of works in the electronic medium. I've composed music for television, animation, film, dance, computer games, concerts, CDs and multimedia.
My music is broadcast on radio and television, nationally and internationally, and is available on compact disc. With continually evolving techniques, a firm grounding in classical theoretical studies and a fine-art sensibility,
I embrace modern and traditional aesthetics with elements from contemporary world music, folk music, jazz/blues, electronica and rock n' roll.
Production
Project studios are common. What sets apart my service is the musicality, originality and experience I bring to your project. With careful attention to detail and experience writing in many styles,
I emphasize high production values and a unique musical craft which speaks to both heart and mind.
My studio is equipped with the MOTU 1248 audio interface, Adam S3H monitors, and the finest sample libraries and software synthesizers available.
For those musicians who want to realize their songs, chamber music or orchestral music, I also offer performance-level score realization. Additionally, narration, vocals and acoustic instruments can be recorded in the studio.
Consulting
If you need experienced input regarding MIDI-based electronic music studio concerns I can be of assistance. I offer help with issues such as connectivity of hardware and software,
how to use specific programs, and also provide the expertise of a composer in regards to which features would be useful in new music products. I've consulted for Yamaha, Computers & Music and numerous individual musicians and composers in the Bay Area.
